As with any GDPR rights request, if there is any doubt about the request coming from the right person, you need to verify the identity of the person on the other end of the conversation. Check out our template on GDPR identity verification.
When you are sure the GDPR data deletion request is coming from the right person, you can go ahead and action the deletion in line with your internal deletion procedures. Once you have executed the deletion request, it is best to confirm the delete action. This way you can avoid follow up questions.
