GDPR compliance can feel overwhelming, especially without a legal background. That’s why GDPRWise is built to guide you at every step. But sometimes you need a little extra help. Here’s how to find it.

Knowledge base

You’re reading an article from it right now: the GDPRWise knowledge base. Here you’ll find:

• Guides on how GDPRWise works, step by step
• GDPR explanations in plain language, without legal jargon
• Templates you can use right away, such as a processing agreement or data breach procedure
• Sector-specific information for industries like hospitality, retail, construction and healthcare

Use the search function to quickly find the right article, or browse the categories.

In-app guidance

Inside the GDPRWise app, you get contextual help at every step:

• Field-level explanations - each input field includes a note explaining what is expected
• Example answers - many questions show a sample answer so you know what to enter
• Tips and warnings - the platform alerts you when you skip something or when extra attention is needed
• Links to the knowledge base - the app directs you to the relevant article for more background

AI assistant

In the top right of the app you will find the GDPR assistant. Ask your question in plain language, in Dutch, English, French or German. The assistant answers based on this knowledge base and cites the articles the answer is based on, so you can always read further.

The assistant also knows your own dossier. You can ask, for example: which data items do I share most, and with whom? Which findings from the latest scan are still waiting for my review? Which compliance item should I tackle first, and what does it involve?

When you open it, the assistant already suggests the most important next steps. An answer about your dossier includes buttons that take you straight to the item in question. The assistant provides guidance based on GDPRWise material; it is not legal advice.

The assistant is included in certain subscription plans and is switched on by an administrator. You can ask a fixed number of questions per day. Read how the AI assistant works for its sources, what happens when it has no answer and how long your questions are kept.

GDPRWise is built for business owners who are not privacy experts. The scan, the dossiers and the documents are designed so you can work through them independently. The help is there for when you get stuck, not because you need it to begin.
