What you see here
The Compliance Dashboard is the first screen after logging in and the “Dashboard” entry in the left menu. It lists the actions you still need to take to reach a foundation level of GDPR compliance as quickly as possible.
The list is specific to your sector and adapts to the content of your dossiers, so you only implement what is relevant for your business. At the top sits the “Compliance score”, a bar with three levels: “Foundation”, “Advanced” and “NIS2 - Robust”. Below it are tabs per level with the number of items in brackets, for example “Foundation (11)”.
Each action item is a card with a short title, such as “Publish your customer privacy policy on your website” or “Implement a cookie banner on your website”. On the right is its status: “Not started”, “In progress” or “Done”. Some items recur and carry a label such as “Semi-annually” or “Yearly”; those ask you to validate the action again. Expand a card for the description and a link to the wider explanation in the knowledge base.
If you ran a website scan, you also see “Website scan findings” with the number of findings still waiting for your customer dossier or your third parties. Accounts with more than two users get an “Assigned to” filter.
What is expected of you
If this is your first visit, focus on the “Foundation” level. You have around ten actions to complete, but they do not all have to happen today. Start with the first item now and plan a few short sessions to tick off all Foundation items over the coming weeks. We recommend following the order shown: each item builds on the previous one.
Per item: read the short description, follow the knowledge base link if you want more context, carry out the action in your business or in your dossier, then change the status. With a paid plan you can set an item to “Done”, add notes and files under “Comments” and “Files”, and assign the item to a colleague when several people have access. On the free account the dashboard is in “Read-only mode”: you see the list but cannot change statuses.
Come back regularly. Recurring items ask to be validated again, and the list can change after you edit your dossiers.
Next step
A level is done when all its items show “Done”. The notice “You have X Foundation items open” disappears and the score reaches that level. Then continue with “Advanced” and, if it applies to your business, “NIS2 - Robust”.
When an item points to your dossier, for example verifying that your dossiers are complete, do the work in “My Customer Dossier”, “My Staff Dossier” or “My Third Party Dossier” and return here to update the status. Read 5 steps to get the most out of GDPRWise for the bigger picture.
