For software platforms
Every story has two sides. So does GDPR.
Your platform handles its side. What falls outside your software is your customer’s side. Compliance is something you do together, and we help your customers with their side.
Your platform’s side
- Log of actions on data
- One-click export and deletion
- Consent recorded per record
- Automatic retention period
Your software already does this
Your customer’s side
- Privacy policy on the website
- Privacy policy for staff
- Record of processing activities
- Privacy and security training
The problem
A privacy chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
GDPR looks at the whole chain. Your platform processes data for your customers, and anyone involved in the same processing can be held liable when things go wrong. Even when the mistake is on your customer’s side.
Your link is strong, but invisible
Logs, retention periods, export and deletion: your platform already handles them. But your customer does not see it, and you get no credit for it.
The weak link is often your customer
No privacy policy, no record of processing, a team that never had any training. It sits outside your product, but the questions about it still land with your support team.
You get pulled in
A data subject can claim the full damage from any party involved in the processing (Art. 82 GDPR). Then it is up to you to prove you were not responsible. That costs time, money and reputation, even when you are proven right.
It works the other way too: every customer who has their side in order makes your whole ecosystem safer. For your customers, for you, and for the people whose data it is.
The solution
A compliant ecosystem is built together
A compliance section in your platform brings both sides together. Every line falls into one of four blocks: who is responsible, and how do we know? Your customer sees at a glance what is done and what is still to do.

What your platform does automatically
Derived from usage, never asked. A log, one-click deletion, consent stored per record.
Your platform - 02 · To set up
What your customer switches on in your platform
Settings your customer has to choose: a retention period, who in the team sees which data.
Your platform - 03 · Declared and checked
What falls outside your platform
A privacy policy on the website, a privacy policy for staff. Your customer provides the link or the document, GDPRWise checks it.

What is still missing
If something is missing, your customer starts with GDPRWise from the checklist, with your partner offer included. The account is created straight away, with no separate sign-up, and you earn commission.
GDPRWise
The principle: nothing in the checklist blocks your customer’s work. It informs, it enforces nothing.
The integration
One API call per check
You build the section in your own style. For each check you send one call to GDPRWise and show the result. Creating the account with your offer is just as simple. Development time stays limited.
Answers and documents go straight to GDPRWise to determine the status. Your platform does not need to store them.
How far you go
Start small, build out
- 1
A checklist with links
Your section shows what your platform handles and points to the free GDPRWise tools for the rest. No API needed.
- 2
Checks in your product
Your customer provides a link or document, your section shows the result from GDPRWise. One call per check.
- 3
Account, offer and commission
From the checklist, your customer starts with GDPRWise, with your partner offer included. The account is created automatically. You earn commission on what comes in this way.
Featured integration
Joobs, recruitment software for SMEs
Joobs built a Compliance Center into its recruiter environment. What Joobs handles automatically for candidates sits at the top. Below it, GDPRWise checks the public privacy policy and the privacy policy for staff. Anyone missing something activates the HR Privacy Plan from the checklist.
- Five checks from Joobs itself, ticked automatically
- The privacy policy scanned from a single link
- A partner offer for Joobs customers, right in the checklist
Which platforms is this for?
Any platform where your customers process personal data: HR and payroll, bookings and reservations, online stores, practice management, CRM, invoicing. Your platform covers its own part, GDPRWise covers the business behind it.
Frequently asked questions
How much development work does this take?
Very little. Each check is one API call, and so is creating an account with your offer. Most of the time goes into designing your section, and that is up to you.
Does my platform have to store customer documents?
No. Documents and answers go to GDPRWise to determine the status. You only show the result.
Does the checklist give legal advice?
No. The checklist provides automated checks and generated documents, not a verdict on whether a business is lawful. For advice on a specific situation, your customer should consult a legal professional.
Which languages does it support?
GDPRWise works in Dutch, English, French and German. The checks follow your customer’s language.
What does it cost, and what does it earn?
The partner program is free. You earn commission on customers who start with GDPRWise through your platform. We agree the terms and the offer for your customers together during the introduction.
